In December 2014, in response to national events, we organized a “Black Lives Matter” peaceful vigil to draw attention to the issue of unequal justice and express our solidarity with communities of color.
This event was followed in February 2015 by our Town Hall panel discussion and community conversation on “Unequal Justice: Race and Class in our Criminal Justice System”; 24 co-sponsors assisted us with this program.

In May 2015, in response to the Nepal earthquake, we co-organized a Candlelight Vigil for the Nepal Earthquake, where members of the Arlington Nepali community voiced their concerns and feelings about the effects of the earthquake.
For this event we provided the infrastructure, while members of the Nepali community created the content.
